Hot on the heels of his Reserve CC at Windsor Belatarr Charlie Parker went one better at the East of England Championship. He began the day by taking 1st Open Dog, with his younger brother Belatarr Hercules 1st in Post Graduate Dog. The two brothers then went head to head in the dog challenge with Charlie being awarded Best Dog and Reserve BOB and Herc Reserve Best Dog under judge Pam Butler-Holley.
But that was just the start of their success! Following the breed judging Jenny, David & the boys scooted across the showground to attend their first ever brace class – this being open to AV Gundog and Utility braces on the day. Despite being the class rookies the boys were placed 1st from a big class of entries and picked up a handy £50 prize to boot.
The judges critique was:
“BRACE 1 Spillane’s Belatarr Hercules & Charlie Parker, a perfectly matched pair of W/h Vizslas. Size, shape, condition, same in both & on the move. Strides were good & well matched coming, going & especially in profile.”
What a wonderful brace debut and a taste of many future brace classes to come! Many congratulations to Jenny, David, Charlie & Herc 🙂
